Is Xaflo open source?
Yes. MIT licensed. The WordPress plugin, the MCP server and the desktop app are all on GitHub. Fork it, change it, ship it.
Does it work with Claude Desktop too?
Yes. The MCP server is registered in both ~/.claude.json (Claude Code) and claude_desktop_config.json (Claude Desktop). Both apps see the same tools.
What about other AI assistants?
Any MCP-compatible client works. Currently tested: Claude Code, Claude Desktop. Cline support coming.
How much does it cost?
Free. Forever. The plugin, the MCP server, the desktop app — all open source. You pay only for your own Anthropic API usage if you’re on Claude Code with a Pro plan.
Do you store any of my data?
Zero. No telemetry. No analytics. No cloud. Your token sits in .claude.json on your computer. Your WordPress data goes straight from your machine to your sites over HTTPS.
What if my WordPress is behind a VPN?
Works fine as long as your machine can reach the site over HTTPS. Xaflo doesn’t need any inbound connections — Claude Code calls out to your sites, not the other way around.
